Testimonials

“Maggie was such an incredible support system from pregnancy, to birth, to postpartum. Her presence in this new life has been immeasurable. Maggie has a warm spirit with a natural ability to keep positive. Once the big day came, she showed up immediately and jumped in with a calming reassurance. It was a long, mentally and physically exhausting process, but she never wavered in her energy. Maggie was able to anticipate my needs, continuously and constantly uplifting both mine and my husband’s spirits. I would highly recommend Maggie for any stage of your new life. Your mind and body will truly be thankful!”

“Maggie made sure she understood my wants and needs and was very attentive to how they changed in the moments of my labor and birth. She coached me through my breaths, kept me hydrated and fed, and assisted me in coping through the contractions. Maggie was very attentive and asked questions to make sure we were always on the same page. What stood out to me most about Maggie was her willingness to jump in and support where and when I needed it, without even being prompted or told. When I reflect on my birth story, her calming presence was a constant.”

Because we live in different states, Maggie and I worked virtually for my second baby’s birth. Although we were hundreds of miles away, Maggie was very present! While I had doctors to check the physical health of me and my baby, Maggie supported my mental health, which felt even more important with my second baby. Prenatally, I openly shared some of my concerns or what caused me anxiety at night and Maggie listened to and comforted me. She’s a natural, kind soul that genuinely cares for her clients. She had the motivation and drive to promptly find the appropriate answers to questions I had, sharing research and resources to follow me through my pregnancy journey.”

“Maggie was a constant light and support the week she spent with us as my husband went back to work. Maggie brought gentle conversation, laughter, and love to a pivotal time in my life as a new mom. She stocked our freezer with delicious meals and snacks for the weeks ahead. Maggie provided relevant guidance about milestones for my newborn, easing anxieties I had about her development in the early days and weeks of infancy. Maggie helped me find balance and create new routines to take care of myself daily. As first time parents, transitions can be overwhelming, but Maggie made it a breeze! I highly recommend Maggie.”

“Maggie worked for us as a postpartum doula for six weeks that turned into months when we realized we couldn't bear to give her up. We were recent ex-pats in New York without any family around to help after the birth of our second child, so Maggie very much took on that role for us. She helped look after the new baby and his older sister, provided general care to both parents, helped look after some light housework and cooked delicious soup and snacks. Maggie is an extremely warm and nurturing presence, and practices nonjudgmental and empathic care with everyone she meets. Maggie listened carefully from the beginning of our interactions, and joined our family exactly as we were. She continued to practice this sensitivity and flexibility throughout the time she was with us.”

“Maggie's communication skills are outstanding which helps to build a relationship quickly. Before each prenatal visit, she prepared us for what to expect and during the visits she listened attentively and explained things thoroughly. The education Maggie provided gave us additional confidence that we were going into the delivery well informed. We especially liked an exercise where we discussed support in labor and postpartum. It got the conversation going beyond the session which helped me, as the pregnant person, to feel on the same page with my husband. This conversation exercise is one example of Maggie's special touches in her doula services. Maggie is thoughtful, empathetic, compassionate and trustworthy. No better person to be by your side throughout the process of giving birth. She is a gem.”

“Maggie managed to find the right balance between many seemingly opposing characteristics--friendly yet professional, organized yet flexible, present while giving space--all throughout preparations for the arrival of our little boy, during the birth, and in the weeks that followed. What I appreciated most while working with Maggie was her sincere happiness and calm as my husband and I went through the natural roller coaster of emotions that having a child takes you on. Maggie created as calm and warm an environment as possible in advance of my scheduled cesarean procedure. She brought to the hospital a speaker, lights, a diffuser, and helped us interact with the hospital staff--all which made a not-desired surgery much more tolerable. I found her composure and warmth so grounding.”

I met Maggie during my 30th week of pregnancy when I had just moved to NYC and didn’t know anyone or have any family in town. She immediately was so warm and comforting and spent prenatal meetings getting to know me, making sure I felt supported in the city. Having Maggie and her calming presence at the hospital while I was in labor was so helpful. Maggie is someone who pays attention to detail. She would always check in after doctors appointments and on special dates. Maggie built a level of trust very quickly based on her attention to detail and concern for me as a client. I highly recommend having Maggie’s support.

Maggie built a relationship with us by listening deeply to our values and priorities. She cut through the noise and brought us current research about areas where we truly had questions or were feeling anxious. I was induced, and Maggie supported me through the choice points of that process. When our baby had to go to the NICU, my husband was able go with him while Maggie stayed back and took care of me. She was a godsend during those hours. In the postpartum period, Maggie was incredibly thoughtful and helpful to the adults in the house. When I was a zombie and didn’t know what help to ask for, Maggie would just look around and figure it out. She re-sorted and sized our baby clothes, offered shoulder and neck massages when I was getting used to feeding and holding a baby all day, sanitized bottles and pump parts, helped me strategize on packing for our first outings and trips with the baby, and took lots and lots of cute pictures of our baby. Maggie is amazing with babies. She just has that magic touch and she is our baby’s favorite person (besides us…I think?) She brings a peaceful presence to the household, and she’s just so knowledgeable. Working with Maggie during the postpartum period made me feel more confident as a new mom.

Maggie was our postpartum doula during both night and day for the first three weeks, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her support. As new parents, my husband and I didn’t know what we didn’t know, and Maggie made the transition into parenthood as seamless as it could be - she was organized and proactive in the planning stages while I was still pregnant, and was easy to communicate with and was flexible even when things changed on our end (and baby arrived unexpectedly early)! Maggie looked after our newborn with such exceptional care, and had a ton of expertise - she was thoughtful in offering suggestions and counsel for anything from baby-wearing to pumping to calming down a fussy baby through paced bottle feeding, and shared plenty of helpful resources and references. Maggie was a warm and active listener, and made us feel truly heard with our first-time parent anxieties; she provided nonjudgmental guidance, reassurance, and counsel which was invaluable. Maggie also radiated calm and always made us feel like we weren’t *totally* messing things up (which is much-needed validation for new parents!) We really appreciated her serene presence and reassurance. We truly felt like Maggie was on our team and celebrated all of the small wins with us.

Maggie is wonderful! She is warm, comforting, and non-judgmental. Maggie knows what to do without direction. What stands out most is her warmth and love. She’s so fun and easy to connect with- our relationship goes way way back! Having her around is lovely, supportive, and fun.

Maggie was thoughtful, patient, and knowledgeable about the many experiences one might encounter during birth. She took plenty of time with us during the prenatal meetings, both to talk to me (the birthing partner) and my spouse about our hopes and expectations for the birth. When things didn’t go to plan, she gathered and provided resources to help us prepare. She was always so cheerful and positive and was really willing to be an advocate for us. At the hospital, she was anticipatory, generous, and thoughtful. She made the hospital room a much warmer environment, making the whole experience calmer and less stressful. And, afterwards, Maggie made sure to check on us for weeks after the birth which made us all feel so cared for. Altogether Maggie was the most wonderful person to have at my side and I’m so grateful!

Maggie came to help us several nights and days from when our daughter was just a month old. We all loved having her around, which is of course important for the baby, but even more so when, like us, you live in a loft with very limited privacy. She was amazing with our daughter, giving me and my husband a chance to properly relax knowing baby was in safe hands and enjoying herself – or safely asleep at night. We loved that she asked and listened to what we wanted in terms of routine and schedule, but otherwise took things into her own hands. Maggie took our baby on walks in the baby carrier, read her stories, took her to the park, bathed her and played with her. It was lovely to see her interacting with our daughter, entertaining and also encouraging her development, even at a very young age. You can tell she loves babies. At night, she was a very discreet but also reassuring presence. We enjoyed chatting with her and it felt like we had a friend at home helping us out, a friend who gives the best back massages and makes the best protein balls around!

I am so grateful to have had Maggie as my postpartum doula. I knew during our initial meeting that Maggie would be a good fit for me and my family. She was communicative, knowledgable, and kind. We have a two year old girl who we knew would have complicated feelings about the new baby coming - Maggie was absolutely wonderful with her. She still asks when Maggie will be coming over! I ended up being induced a week early and our baby had to stay in the NICU for a week. Maggie was great about check-ins to understand what would be helpful with the shifting timelines. She followed our lead with follow-ups while still taking initiative to check in; this put me at ease while juggling so many stressful things at once. Once our little one was home with us, Maggie had the right balance of meeting me where I was in terms of needs, while also suggesting ways that she could help if I felt too shy or overwhelmed to know what to ask for. She brought healthy snacks that kept me energized, made me tea, and supported me in creative ways to help my mental and physical state. Maggie is clearly focused on evidence based care rooted in a variety of methodologies while meeting her clients where they are. Maggie is great at asking questions that pull information out of me. It can be hard to think of what would be helpful, what my needs are, etc. but she has an intuitive nature that works to feel this out. It helped that she is so easy to talk to because it honestly felt like we had a long-time friend coming over to help us. Anyone would be lucky to have Maggie as part their birth journey!

Maggie was easily the best decision we made in preparing for birthing our first child. We thought this months before the birth, two hours afterwards and continue to believe it months later. Beyond the peace and calm she illuminates all rooms with, she comes with a wealth of knowledge and practical advice that we could not have accessed otherwise. Maggie came to our home multiple times for our prenatal meetings, was promptly available when we needed her, and remained joyful, cool and collected through our 18+ hour birthing experience. We’re honored Maggie was the first person, besides the doctors and ourselves, to have held and welcomed our baby daughter to this world. Maggie is not one to preach her views. She asks questions to get to know you and your preferences and prepares herself to best deliver on your preferences. She has a wholistic approach that, in our case, centered around our family dynamics - she built on “how do you want to be supported by your partner?” to prepare us for not only the birthing experience but also the unknowns that come before and after. Additionally, Maggie knows babies! And how to treat them and care for them and she will offer that practical knowledge. Maggie’s sweet demeanor, humbleness and stark intelligence make her an outstanding doula.

I had an amazing experience working with Maggie as my birth doula. She was always very informative and knowledgeable during our prenatal meetings and was incredible as my doula during labor. Maggie did everything to help ease my pain, keep me calm and support me throughout the entire process. When my daughter was sent to the NICU immediately after birth, Maggie stayed with me to make sure I wasn’t alone and was an incredible emotional support to me during a very overwhelming time. Maggie is incredibly warm, genuine and kind. Maggie has the kind of energy you want in the delivery room with you and has a way of making you feel so comfortable and heard. She focused on getting to know me and my husband and understanding each of our needs. Building a relationship with Maggie felt very natural, as she is easy to talk to and her warm personality is a pleasure to be around.

Maggie guided us from birth preparations, to birth, and then post-natal care. She helped us craft a birthing plan and was extremely supportive through the whole process. Maggie was incredible with our baby after the birth and made us wonderful, much-needed soup. She is organized, thoughtful, supportive, and warm. Maggie is knowledgeable yet she doesn’t press her point of view too strongly. We felt very comfortable with her. We were busy and preoccupied getting ready with everything before our birth, so it helped that she stayed diligent with the schedule and kept us all on track—but was never pushy. She is very open and warm.

Maggie supported us through two pregnancies, one birth, and lots of postpartum visits! During prenatal visits she would check in with how we were feeling, help prepare postpartum supplies like freezer pads, and even help wash clothes and organize our nursery (for both babies!). If she wasn’t sure about something in the moment, she always did research and got back to us. I remember being so stressed about losing my hair after my first baby and she was so comforting and also took the time to send articles explaining what was happening to my body. For my second baby, Maggie’s calm and warm presence was such a comfort during my labor and delivery. She provided so much pain relief through hip squeezes for HOURS. Don’t know how I would have made it through my home birth without her. I was also so lucky to have her spend an entire weekend with us when my husband was out of town shortly after the birth of my second. She helped with feedings, changes, cooking and cleaning. She even left our freezer stocked with meals after she left. Maggie asks thoughtful questions and listens intently. Her presence is so calming and warm. I always feel so emotionally and physically taken care of when she’s around. Maggie and I have been friends for many years. She started her doula training as I was pregnant with my first baby, so it was perfect timing for our relationship with her to grow in a new way - as our doula! We are soooo lucky to have her in our lives.

I actually don't know how we would have survived postpartum life without Maggie. From the moment we met her, we felt immediately comfortable with her - she has a calming and warm presence, a bright personality, is knowledgeable and also curious, and seems to really love what she does. The night we got home from the hospital, we had a terrible time leaving the hospital and getting our baby home. Literally a minute after we walked in the door, Maggie showed up, got the baby changed, got us into bed, and fed me pasta while I nursed my baby - it felt like a miracle. Consistently throughout the time Maggie spent with us and our son, we felt amazed at how much easier our life was when she was around. She taught us better ways to soothe him, expertly got the baby burped and back to bed, brought me lactation tea and protein bites, secretly organized our tupperware while the baby slept - we couldn't believe how helpful she was and how she always figured out just what we or baby needed. In a chaotic time of transition and sleep deprivation, Maggie made us feel comforted and capable. We trusted her implicitly with our baby (sometimes even more than we trusted ourselves) and feel so lucky to have found her.

When I think back to this time - it is a very vulnerable time for a new mom and new parents. So much has changed so quickly, your body is still healing, you’re maybe learning how to feed your baby - it’s very raw! Maggie did such a great job integrating into our home and making it feel safe and cozy. When we’d pass the baby off in the night she’d always give us a little hug/squeeze like ‘you’ve got this!’ As I started breastfeeding. She made this challenging time a lot easier for us! Our daughter loves to cuddle with her and it brings me great joy to see Maggie caring for her… I always know she’ll be in great hands. There are a lot of little things, too, that I appreciated- the snacks, the check-ins, the flexibility in scheduling. She really got to know our entire family - both about us as people and also what was going on in our lives. We’ve had a few important life event things happening outside of having a baby and I feel like Maggie has really looked to understand us as a whole family instead of just through the baby. We loved that!

Maggie is an eternal optimist and finds the best in every situation. Having such positive energy around is so helpful during the early postpartum weeks! Maggie was very professional. She scheduled a consultation call with us, and then followed up via email with more details about her services. From there, we booked our time with her and she checked in with us several times leading up to our week together. Maggie was truly so helpful during all of her waking hours, not just at night, and it was so amazing to have an extra set of hands for all of the household tasks, not just baby related things!

I wouldn’t have survived postpartum without Maggie! She truly was such a lifesaver in helping us stay "afloat.” She helped us with everything from home care, to holding our little babe so we could sleep, to cooking, to running errands. Maggie was so sweet to work with and was always finding ways to be helpful. She was a calming presence in the room when we were running on fumes and it really helped to have her around. We looked forward to her coming every day. No task is too big or too small - if you need help with something, she is on it. Maggie is a great listener and always made herself approachable and helpful.

We feel so lucky to have had Maggie as our postpartum doula. As new parents, we were overwhelmed with all the changes that come with bringing a newborn home, but Maggie’s calm, reassuring presence made all the difference. From day one, she provided both emotional support and practical advice. She helped us establish a feeding routine, answered all of our endless questions with patience and expertise, and even showed us little tricks—like the perfect swaddle technique—that made a huge difference in our baby’s comfort.

One of the most valuable things Maggie did was encourage us to take care of ourselves. She would gently remind us to rest while she took care of our baby, and knowing he was in her capable hands allowed us to truly recharge. She also helped with small but meaningful household tasks—like folding laundry and preparing healthy snacks—so we could focus on bonding with our little one. Beyond her skills and knowledge, what makes Maggie truly special is her warmth and kindness. She made us feel heard, supported, and confident as parents. We can't recommend her highly enough! If you're looking for a postpartum doula who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and an absolute lifesaver in those early weeks, Maggie is the one.

Maggie's qualities are valuable and they are rare to find in one person. She is a good listener - and a good teacher. Her high emotional IQ helps her read the room, and she's then naturally funny, or high-energy, or calm as appropriate. She relieved a lot of stress for us in the early days with our newborn. Maggie taught us how to use various baby wraps safely and comfortably, she connected with us deeply on our labor & delivery story, and she demonstrated how to safely bathe our newborn. Through these interactions, as expert as she was, she was always supportive and patient. She was also always reliable and clear about scheduling. Through words and actions, we felt it was clear that Maggie was a part of our 'bubble' while she served as our postpartum doula. I believe her personal values, as well as her experience as a teacher, are key to her ability to quickly build a genuine relationship and trust. She was the only person we trusted our newborn to for many weeks.

Maggie was a wonderful resource and an amazing part of our support system throughout pregnancy and postpartum. Her prenatal meetings made us think about very important aspects to our parenthood journey together that we hadn't even considered yet! Our sessions felt very tailored to us as well and the resources she gave us felt very personalized. I appreciated Maggie’s willingness to listen to our fears and concerns about labor and birth. She then helped us create a plan to ease our minds. Maggie was always very authentic in our conversations and honest about answers to our questions. We wish we lived closer so we could have her support in person, too!

Maggie was our postpartum doula once we took home our baby boy from the hospital after 56 days in the NICU. We were new parents and naturally nervous about having a new life to be responsible for, especially after a traumatic birth. Maggie stayed with us several nights in a row to take care of our little one while we got much needed rest and time to focus on healing! Maggie is incredibly intuitive—she seemed to know exactly what we needed, whether it was practical support with newborn care, tutorials on how to baby wear using our new baby wrap, or simply holding space for us during the emotional ups and downs. Her massage skills were truly next level—her gentle, expert touch helped ease my physical tension and brought much-needed relaxation during those early, sleep-deprived days. She also surprised us with homemade oat protein balls that were delicious and provided quick and easy nutrition during those blurry first few weeks! Working with Maggie as our postpartum doula was an absolute gift. From the very first meeting, she brought a calm, reassuring presence into our home. Her down-to-earth nature and clear communication made it easy to trust her. She took the time to understand our preferences and concerns and our unique situation of delivering our baby 2 months early. She offered an empathetic ear and physical care to both us and the baby, which made our parenting journey so much easier!
